Role: Director, Arts – initial concept and strategic oversight for the Shakespeare Lives cultural programme

Shakespeare Lives is an unprecedented global programme of events and activities celebrating William Shakespeare’s work on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of his death.

The programme invites the world to join in the festivities by participating in a unique online collaboration and experiencing the work of Shakespeare directly on stage, through film, exhibitions and in schools.

Running throughout 2016, the programme has already reached 2.3 billion people through the social media hashtag Shakespeare Lives; 3 million people have watching the series of original short Shakespeare films; and events have been hosted in more than 140 countries.
